Research suggests that resilience is built on a combination of a positive mindset and strategies to handle pressure.

It isn’t just a trait we are born with - it’s a skill we can develop over time.

Being resilient doesn’t mean you never experience pain or hurt. There will always be challenges to overcome, but building resilience gives us the tools to cope and the confidence to know we can make it through to the other side.

Resilience isn't about never struggling; it's about having the strategies to handle whatever comes our way.

I’m passionate that resilience is for everyone. It shouldn’t just come into play at crisis point.

When we're resilient, we feel more confident in ourselves and our abilities. This confidence and adaptability make us better equipped to succeed and thrive in all areas of life.

We should all have the opportunity to build our resilience.

It’s All About the Resilience Onion

The Resilience Onion Framework is my unique approach to understanding and improving how we think and behave. I've developed this method to help you build resilience and lead a more fulfilling life. Life often presents us with challenges that can significantly impact our thoughts and actions, sometimes in ways we don't even notice. My framework offers a structured, compassionate way to explore these changes and develop healthier patterns.

My approach is based on both extensive research and personal experience, ensuring it's not only effective but also relatable to your life and experiences. Like peeling an onion, the framework guides you through individual layers of self-discovery. Each layer helps you understand what has shaped you, how it affects you now, and provides practical tools to address areas you wish to change.

A comprehensive workshop is coming in 2025, but you can start with focused sessions now. Choose from a 3-hour on demand workshop or 3 x 1-hour group sessions, which includes a 1-1 component.

OVERCOMING NEGATIVE THINKING

Negative thinking patterns can hold us back from living our best lives, affecting our relationships, self-perception, and overall well-being. My "Overcoming Negative Thinking" course is designed to help you break free from these limiting beliefs and cultivate a more positive mindset.

Throughout the course, you'll develop a deep understanding of negative thinking patterns and their impact on your mental health. You'll learn to identify personal triggers and situations that contribute to negative thoughts, as well as recognise the emotions associated with them and their effects on your behaviour.

A little more about my personal journey…

Hi, I’m Kerry. Mum of 3, resilience advocator and trainer, pole dancing enthusiast and Domestic Violence survivor.

I help people build and maintain resilience by understanding how we think, feel and behave. It’s at the foundation of everything we do, yet it's something we often know very little about. 

10 years ago, I had no idea what resilience was. I had just left an abusive relationship, and my mental health was in a terrible state. Despite working in the psychology department of a prison at the time, I felt completely lost and stuck.

Since that time, I've embraced support and invested time to build the skills and toolkit I needed to navigate life's challenges. It hasn’t always been an easy journey, and I continue to grow every day.

This journey has made me incredibly passionate about resilience. It's not something that should only come into play during crisis; it's a skill we all should have, starting at a young age, just like riding a bike or learning to write our names.

It doesn't matter how old you are, what your gender identity is, where you come from, or what your career is. Resilience is for everyone.

We can't avoid adversity, but we can equip ourselves with the tools to manage it and keep moving forward.
